    BALLOON FIGHT SIMULATOR v0.5 beta (7/4/00) MS-DOS (freeware)
    by David Calandra, nokrum@emuhq.com
    http://www.emuhq.com/nokrum/
    ============================================================

  This program simulates the machine Nintendo's Game & Watch Balloon Fight
  made in 1988.
  To execute the game you have to write from DOS:

  Bfight <options>, where options are:
  -s, activates sound (activated by defect).
  -ns, disables the sound.
  -v, synchronizes the game with the sweeping of the monitor.
  -nv, so that there is not this synchrony (activated by defect).

  So that Balloon Fight goes correctly I don't believe that they are nece-
  ssary very powerful computers (I suppose that it's enough a pentium 100).
  The game uses the resolution 640x480 with 256 colors. The sound card is
  detected automatically and the graphic mode also.
  If you activate the synchrony option with the screen, make sure the graphic
  mode has frequency of 60 Hz, because if not the surest thing is the speed
  of the game is not appropriate.

  Balloon Fight is programmed totally in C with DJGPP and ALLEGRO.
  Although it seems to work good under Windows 98, it is thought for MS-DOS.
  The executable bfight.exe should go accompanied by the file bfight.dat

  I don't become responsible for any kind of damage that this program can
  cause you, use it to your risk; -)
  By the way, I don't have anything to do with Nintendo, I program as hobby.

    Simulator Current state:
    ========================

  It's programmed about 85%:
  The game has 16 levels that they repeat later at more speed. The first
  8 levels is programmed.
  There are 8 different bonus phases. All programmed are less one that is
  when the enemy appears, at the end of the phase 8. Like starting from here
  there is not still anything programmed, the game returns automatically
  to DOS.
  I have problems with the sound. I don't know why it is heard cracked
  (at least it happens to me), however when hearing the files .wav with
  any sound reproducer, they are heard well.

    Balloon Fight Instructions:
    ===========================

  You can find the original instructions (in English of course)
  scanned at the official web of this simulator:
  http://www.emuhq.com/nokrum/

  Anyway, some quick instructions go here:

  Our hero should pick up balloons, 25 for each phase. Picking up 20
  followed balloons (or 40, or 60), we will obtain more points for balloon.
  At the end of each phase we have the possibility to enter in bonus phase,
  for this you should placed yourself on the platform that blinks and
  to pulse DOWN or UP. If we don't do it, we will pass directly to the
  following phase.
  When you die, you lose 100 points. If you don't have them, the game ends.
  Each 8 phases appear OIRAM REPUS (our enemy). This is also a bonus phase
  and it consists on avoiding what throws us.
  You don't lose life if you die in bonus phase.

  Keys:

  S to start game.
  With the CURSORS you control our hero BALLOON MAN.
  With the key CONTROL (pressed repeated times) you fly.
  F5 to get screen-shot (file bf_img.pcx)
  TAB for not measuring the speed of the simulation.
  ESC to return to the real world.
